Russ G

Russell first started DJ’ing in 1998 after attending clubs such as Godskitchen & Gatecrasher and was by inspired by the DJ’s he was hearing then such as Paul Oakenfold, Tall Paul & Sasha and was initially caught up in the trance explosion that took place at that time.

After years of playing trance around various clubs in the UK that included Godskitchen & Passion and appearing on the same bill as DJ’s such as Erick Morillo & Armin Van Buuren & Eddie Halliwell he decided to make the move to playing house and hasn’t looked back since.

Since then Russell has played many gigs across the UK and played alongside many of the Nu-Breed of DJ’s including Funkagenda, James Talk, Mark Knight and more!

Russells style of house has also seen him make his debut at The Gallery on where he played alongside the ever popular King unique, he has also made his debut at The Honey Club in Brighton.

As well as gracing the decks at some of the UK’s best clubs Russell has broke through onto the international scene where he saw 2007 in with 2 sell out gigs in the Ukraine and he has also made his debut in Poland where he played in at one of Poland’s most popular clubs ‘Piekarnia’ in Warsaw.

Russell will be returning to Poland and also making his debut in Malaysia, Cairo & Sweden in the following months.

Russell has now also entered the world of production with his debut tracks ‘Led Astray’ & ‘Lose It’ which have been released on  ‘Whoop! Records’ and receiving support from Tall Paul, Redanka & Sonny Wharton among others.
Since that release Russell has had quite a few offers from various labels so expect to see more original productions on labels such as Whoop!, Barroque & 852!

There will be more from where that came from with various collaborations and remixes planned for the future in what is an exciting time for this young man from Birmingham.

See you on the dancefloor…
